Installation guide

1

Open your head include

Open _includes/head.html in your Jekyll project. If this file does not exist, check _layouts/default.html for the <head> tag.

2

Add the script tag

Paste the GhostlyX script inside the <head> block. Jekyll will include this in every generated page.

Code
<script defer src="https://cdn.ghostlyx.com/gx.js" data-site-id="YOUR_SITE_ID"></script>
3

Build and push

Run jekyll build or push to your GitHub Pages branch. GhostlyX will begin recording visits on the next deployment.

Why Jekyll users choose GhostlyX

Jekyll is particularly popular for GitHub Pages-hosted documentation and open-source project sites. These projects often have global audiences and developer users who are privacy-conscious. GhostlyX gives project maintainers accurate visitor data without the ethical conflict of using a surveillance-oriented analytics tool on a public project.
